COMPANION ANIMAL VETERINARIAN - LOCUM (VACANCY NO. 18015)                                           

We have an exciting opportunity for a Companion Animal Veterinarian locum. You will be based in our Feilding clinic. We are looking for someone who is available to cover leave and take part in our Saturday and weekend clinic roster.

CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM LEADER

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our customer services unit in our Feilding clinic, reporting directly to the clinic manager. You will need to have a passion for building strong relationships with our clients and our people, enthusiasm and energy to keep abreast of our fast- paced industry in sales and product knowledge.

We need a person with the ability to lead a group of up to 8 people, providing support for our technical & retail teams in a hands-on role and enjoy the challenge of motivating others to provide outstanding customer service.

You will need to have experience in a customer services and retail environment, ideally within the veterinary or agricultural sector and the positivity and drive to succeed and find solutions.

This role will encompass dealing with people face to face and over the phone on a full time basis working 5 days with Saturdays being part of your rostered hours.

ASSISTANT MANAGER - Tararua Breeding Centre

Due to the growth of our breeding center in Woodville, we have created an exciting new vacancy for an Assistant Manager. This role will support the Center Manager and help our Bull Fertility team in their delivery of services to clients of Totally Vets. The role has scope for growth and development.

The position requires a good understanding and experience of large animals, with excellent animal handling and proven technician skills, particularly in the bovine sector. You will be expected to collect semen from bulls, but training will be given.

An ability to develop and maintain good relationships with clients and their staff is essential. The assistant managers role will include working to maintain our license as a semen production facility.

Experience with administration and data processing work, including the use of spreadsheets and budgets, would be an advantage.

You will also work in the laboratory processing semen, quality control and desptaching of predominantly bulls as well as other species. Training will be provided.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A good understanding of animals and farming practices
  • Some form of tertiary qualification –Vet Technician or Agriculture would be desirable
  • Experience in animal handling especially cattle
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skill essential
