Changes in the Manawatu

Totally Vets is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Beasley to the Feilding production veterinary team.

Laura BeaselyLaura graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2008 and since that time has worked as an intern at the University of Glasgow before moving to New Zealand in 2010. Laura has a special interest in dairy and the development of a whole herd approach to dairy cow health and performance. Laura's living on a Manawatu dairy farm with her partner.

Carla Sheridan to the role of Commercial Sales Representative based in Feilding.

Many will recognise Carla from her long history with Totally Vets.  She started with Manawatu Vets in the mid ‘90’s and after an O.E. in Europe returned to Awapuni Vets in 2003. Carla and her young family moved into dairy farming for a few years (in Hokitika and then Norsewood) moving on to a sheep and beef farm on Ponui Island.

Carla has been based at Totally Vets Feilding since September 2014, organising our production animal vets, developing in-clinic laboratory services and generally being generous with her knowledge and experience.

Carla will be out on the road liaising with farmers about their seasonal requirements. Feel free to contact her via the Feilding clinic.

Other changes you may have noticed in the Manawatu include Catherine Clapperton’s move to the role of Clinic Manager at Feilding.  Catherine has spent the last 20 years in the veterinary industry and hails from a sheep and beef background in Northland. Catherine is a relatively new face to the Feilding clinic, previously working in the Awapuni clinic.

Heidi Pihama who previously headed the reception and customer team in Feilding has been promoted to Clinic Manager, Awapuni and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Awapuni clinic.
