Puppy preschool

Between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks, puppies learn many skills that will shape their behaviour for the rest of their lives.  Every year, thousands of adult dogs are put down due to behavioural problems, most often caused by a lack of socialisation and training during this crucial window of time.  By enrolling your puppy in preschool classes, you are doing the best for you and your puppy.  As an owner, you will learn how to be the ‘leader of the pack'.  By following the rules of the pack, your puppy will learn how to be a well-behaved sociable dog.  Puppy preschool classes are held once a week for four weeks.  The syllabus covers:

Socialisation with other puppies and strangers

Positive reinforcement training

Pack dynamics:  who's the boss?

Puppy care in general and your puppy in particular

Remember, puppy preschool classes are great fun for both puppies and owners and an essential part of early training and fulfilling dog ownership.  Read more ...
