Business Support Team Leader                       

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to lead our Administration team who provide support to our Veterinarians.

This is a newly created full time position and is based at our Palmerston North clinic.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day to day activities of our business support team to ensure the provision of exceptional customer service
  • Telephone contact and follow-up calls
  • Providing sales advice and product knowledge
  • Monitoring business performance and encouraging process improvement

Ideally we are looking for a person who has the following qualities:

  • Previous experience in leading and motivating a team
  • A passion for customer service, with strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in diary and appointment management
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to use initiative
  • Excellent computer skills including excel spread-sheeting
  • Confident personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Interest in farming and the wellbeing of animals
  • Ability to work in a positive team environment with a focus on detail and going the extra mile

Previous experience in a leadership role within the agriculture sector would be advantageous, and the ability to fit within and contribute to the team environment will be a key factor.

Production Animal Veterinarian                             

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time veterinarian with a special passion for the dairy sector but who also has an interest in the equine industry. You will be based out of our Awapuni clinic in Palmerston North, which covers the Manawatu area in combination with our Feilding clinic.

We are looking for a dynamic Veterinarian with the following key attributes:

  • A dairy clinician with experience in all aspects of dairy medicine and herd performance
  • Commitment to client service with a professional attitude
  • Passionate about dairy clients and dairy farming
  • Able to create and drive client programmes
  • Confidence to work independently in a busy practice
  • Good time management and proven organisational skills
  • Displays great interpersonal skills to build relationships
  • Willingness to participate in the after-hours roster

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time dedicated equine veterinarian based out of our Awapuni clinic in Palmerston North, which services the Manawatu area. This equine role includes

  • Racing/stable and sport horse work
  • Thoroughbred breeding and sport horse artificial insemination (chilled and frozen)
  • Official duty veterinarian at Thoroughbred and Harness Race Meetings
